Today, the Jay Ann shop is the largest mastectomy/compression shop in the tri-state area.  We have been a family-owned business since the 1950’s and specialize in surgical garments, bras, breast prostheses, shapers, lumpectomy products, custom prostheses, and compression garments. We partner with nurse practitioners, doctors, radiologists, and lymphedema therapists to ensure patients are receiving the best care as well as quality products to help them look and feel their best.

 

Our story began in the mid 1950's, with an unhappy housewife named Flossy. Flossy took a great deal of pride in caring for her children and volunteered for the PTA and Sisterhood, but she realized that something was missing in her life. In 1955, Israel (Flossy's husband) gave her $16,000 to start her own business called Jay Ann. The store had a variety of items ranging from bras, girdles, underwear and fine lingerie. In 1970, post-mastectomy products became available and Flossy made it possible for women to be fit with silicone breast prosthesis and pocketed bras which kept the breast form(s) secure and in place. Flossy truly was a pioneer in this area. 

 

Today the business is owned and operated by the third generation, cousin to Flossy. Jay Ann Intimates continues to offer a large variety of quality products for every woman, realizing that everyone is unique, in their individual way.  From the begining to now, Jay Ann's mission has remained the same, helping individuals look and feel their best!
