Daily-care instructions:

Off the Shelf Silicone Breast Prosthesis: To ensure that your breast form maintains its soft, supple feel and appearance, please give your form the same special care you give your body.

To protect your breast form:

• Store it in its cradle, nipple side down.

• Avoid sharp objects and direct sunlight. Before handling your form, remove your rings and bracelets. Beware of small punctures caused by scissors, pins, jewelry and pets’ claws or teeth.

• Gently wash your breast form regularly using warm water and a mild liquid cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. All bras should be washed by hand with a mild soap and air dried.

• Never wring or rub, use abrasive cleaners, acetone, alcohol or any other solvent on your breast form.

• Your breast form should not be used in direct contact with open or broken skin. Should you experience a skin rash or other irritation, immediately discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Custom Open-back prostheses can now be cleaned daily with a damp cloth or disposable disinfecting hand wipe (we do not recommend Clorox or Lysol wipes), instead of a complete wash with soap water. Click here to view a short video on how to care for your open back prosthesis.

Custom Closed-back prosthesis Daily-care instructions Closed-back prostheses can now be cleaned daily with a damp cloth or disposable disinfecting hand wipe (we do not recommend Clorox or Lysol wipes), instead of a complete wash with soap water. Remember not to handle this product roughly or put undue pressure on a closed-back ABC CBP prosthesis. If handled improperly, it could lead to structural failure and void the warranty.
